jab?
How far across is my jab supposed to come, should it come to the centre so that my shoulder covers my chin just like the right cross or should it be more straight out because sometimes i feel as if its a bit stronger if it goes out more straight but is this just lazy form? plus it would means my cross has further to go for a 1,2.Or could it be coz im standing to square on?

Re: jab?
Would be cool if you could take a pic or something of the full extension etc because it would be easy to tell and explain..
It's good to practice it coming out to the centre or even a bit across to the right... Turn your body a bit more so your leading with your shoulder, and you should be able to tuck your chin in even if you're throwing it out straight.. But i'd throw it out to the centre. It tightens it up and then when you have an opponent in front of you, it encourages more coverage of your shoulder to your chin.... Throwing it out straight as you've found, leaves a little more allowance for your shoulder to get lazy and come away from your chin and drop a bit..
If it feels like lazy form, then most likely it is... When I was first training, if it didn't feel like I was straining for good form, then I wasn't using good form...
How long have you been boxing/training for?

Re: jab?
I think it may be that im getting to square in my stance at times and not getting enough lenght in the jab and getting the shoulder behind it,So it probably is lazy form.Gonna have to start checking my stance in the mirror more i think.
Been boxing training for about five years now on and off, maybee i need to start getting back to the gym more...
