(No tengo nada = I have nothing) Were ODLH last words on his stool
I just watched the fight again and I thought the fight should have been stopped in the 7th but after the 8th it seemed obvious to everyone including Oscar that the fight might just have to be stopped. Should we stop the fight were the words that were being repeated over and over to Oscar by several of his people in the corner (Paramos la pelea?)
Oscar: No tengo nada. (I have nothing)
Those were his last words.
I know this must have been hard for him he looked like he wanted someone to save him but his pride would not let him say "please let's stop this fight." He looked lost sitting in his corner totally defeated. I am glad his corner was able to read Oscar's body language and deformed face and gestures and see that indeed Oscar had enough and was done.
How do you get owned by a midget?
Speaking of midgets, oh little Ricky what are you going to do? Manny said he is coming to the 140 lb division :o
Now we didn't expect Manny to fight Margarito or Williams did we?
;D
Once again, now you all see why Floyd ducked Tony and even Cotto for that matter.
I think Oscar will retire, I hope Oscar does retire as he should. Oscar has done all he can and along the way he made himself and others very wealthy.
Thank you ODLH for all that you have done. You have done more than any boxer could have dreamed of, you were a champion in 5 different weight classes, a gold medalist and you even have a statue in your honor, now go on and retire because you "have nothing" left as you said on your stool before the fight was stopped. Many will miss you especially those who wanted to get rich while having the honor to step into the ring with you. You will be missed by all wether they liked you or not.

I just knew that you weren't going to be able to sleep, and would watch the fight again. ;) ;D
Anyways, well said Danny. I too, think it's time for Oscar to hang the gloves up, because he's accomplished all he needs to in the ring.
Re: (No tengo nada = I have nothing) Were ODLH last words on his stool
didnt he say he had a headache at some point?
Re: (No tengo nada = I have nothing) Were ODLH last words on his stool
The doctor kept asking him if his head hurt, since he took so many shots to the head, and I think that was just part of the doctor trying to evaluate him.
Re: (No tengo nada = I have nothing) Were ODLH last words on his stool
At least he didnt say "No mas"
But I think we watched the end of a great career last night
Re: (No tengo nada = I have nothing) Were ODLH last words on his stool
As the fight ended, Oscar got off his stool aproached Freddie Roach and said: “You’re right. I don’t have it any more.”
That must have been a hard thing for Oscar to admit, but it is the truth. He should definately call it a day and focus on his other ventures.

I give Hatton a much better chance than DLH. but Manny looks good very good at those weight. But don't be fooled this was an Old weight drained Oscar.
