Got a bit of a bonus from work so decided to treat myself....

Bought a samsung 52 inch 1080p HDTV, full 5.1 surround sound with Onkyo Amp and Sony blue ray player.

Only managed to get it fully set up tonight. Bought transformers on bluray to watch on it (not seen it before)

Mrs out, kids in bed, just finished watching the film and 3 words came to mind

HOLY F*CKING SHIT!

Okay so its the best part of 2k spent but shit me, its better than going to the actual cinema! and what a fukkinf film to watch on a massive telly in blu ray.

I'm not ready to make that HD jump yet. Still got a 36" tube and I use the xbox 360 to watch movies. The technology is impressive though, and once my investments pay out enough to buy the setup in a month I'm on it.

thats great my parents have the same shit except its a LG 50 inch. very nice to and the blu ray player is awesome i just watched dark knight on it WOW.

Kind of with the Sheep here,Ive got an older Magnavox,and it works okey dokey,I dont know how much definition I really need,since half the time if Im watching sports,Im watching a stream on the computer anyway

And I do mean seriously in to hock,those shows we're setting up better sell the hell out.

HD is awesome.. Got one about 2 months back and love it!!

I didn't realise how good it was with my PS3 until I switched to the HDMI cable.. Because i'd been on the net and looked up and a lot of people were saying the difference is hard to notice... BULL SHIT!! It is fucking awesome... Metal Gear Solid 4 was crazy looking..!!

Plus Blue Ray almost made me cream in my pants first time I saw it... I hired Hellrider with Nicholas Cage and god damn awesome!! I've since hired a few more blue ray's, but that one looked the best.. Maybe because it was the first one I saw...

And then there is digital TV and HD channels... It's better quality than regular DVD's...

I wouldn't trade my HD tv for anything now...

I really want a great sound system for it though.. It's one of my true passions, but never had the money to piece together a nice system..

hell yea i get all that. the HDMI on my xbox brings it all out especially on games. the HD channels are awesome especially on NFL sunday u see shit more clear.

Haven't got Sky satellite HD yet only Sky regular, sky cant install it until the new year!! Even watching football in standard def broadcast is great i can't wait to watch HD football on a 52 inch with surround sound.

best investment ever.

I made sure I played my PS3 on a standard TV for a good amount of time so I could appreciate the HD gaming.

Don't even get me started on Blu-Ray! I'm starting a collection and at $30 a pop, it's starting to add up.

Fights are ridiculous to watch on HD. Especially if you have the HDMI connection, Forget about it! You feel like you're there
