UFC 92..Any Links that wont get cut at the main event?
Re: UFC 92..Any Links that wont get cut at the main event?
isn't there a pub near you that carries ufc events? I can see how some boxing events are hard to find, but the UFC is everywhere since it's so much cheaper for commercial establishments to broadcast.
bTW, as to your question, no idea.

after watching the fight it seems that nog is done! i mean he got kd 3 times by mir?!?!?!?
then finally the fight got stopped! but i do think that the fight shoiuld dtayed longer a bit. the ref was jittery and he seems like he wanted to stop it right away

Wanderlei got knocked out in the first round via a massive left hook and then got punched 5 times while out cold lol Forrest got koed in the 3 rd round. Forrest was winning but he got caught throwing a kick and was taken down and pounded to a stoppage ;)

yea i just found out
UFC sucks man, you really can't rely on a favorite fighter. Everybody loses every 3 fights. IMO that will be UFC's downfall, unlike boxing boxers records are a lot more consistent.
example:
ufc fighter - 9-4-1 wtf? thats a low winning percentage but he can be a champ.
boxer - 30-1-0. now that is a consistent record with a high winning percentage.
I can't remember the last boxer who had a 50/50 win/lose record and became champ or even got a title shot.

Yeah Nog is clearly done but what I will say is that Frabnk Mir looked the part . His stand up was the best Ive seen from him. On that form he beats Brock on the ground or toe to toe. He boxed brilliantly and I'd say he is the 2nd best heavyweight in the MMA world just behind Fedor.
Silva is another guy who is past it. Rampage had a good gameplan but I think this was more a case of what Silva has left rather than how much Jackson had improved. Vicious, sick K.O but Im glad Jackson finally got a win over his nemisis.
Evans rpoved he is the real deal. I did say I had never been that impressed by him but he is obvioulsy improving alot . Last night he showed he can comeback from adversity and turn a fight round. He does carry exceptional power. I reckon with his cool boxing brain and solid jaw, he will be around at the top for a while. Griffin was impressing me too b4 the KO . His legs kicks were working as they did vs Jackson but he just got careless.
Great card !

certainly adds to the drama. And makes a booky's job more difficult.
But there are just so many ways to win/lose in mma. In actuality, it's more in line with traditional TEAM records. ie, BOXING is the odd man out. What TEAM ever won every game AND the championship? Doesn't happen in any sport I watch....
btw, I don't know any mma fighter who is 50-50 and champ, nor do I think it has ever happened. It's usually more like you said... 0.700 and up or so...

well how many times do you want a guy to get his face punched in? The ref wasn't jittery and it wasn't an early stoppage at all, especially considering that Mir got him a couple times HARD on that last exchange. He was COOKED. Any more of a beating and you put is life in danger....

I think it might actually help MMA. In UFC the fans know that Dana makes the match ups and he's concerned with making exciting fights, not coddling a prospect into contention.
