My Top 5 films of the year
following on from the film threads I thought it a good idea to just put a your straight Top 5 of new (new out or ones you have seen for the first time) films you have seen which you would recommend. I am forever wanting new stuff to watch or download. So here goes mine for this year :
1) Felon
2) American Gangster
3) 21
4) Iron Man
5) Forgetting Sarah Marshall (a lot better than it SHOULD have been);)

sorry man thought no country for old men was this year, thing with hancock even though i enjoyed it its like all comedy movies go serious for the 2nd half just like ghost town, but dont remember there being loads of good films in 2008?
Re: My Top 5 films of the year
I did say any film you had watched which was 'new' to this year :)
No country for old men was good - it just didn't have a good enough conclusion for me :-\
The Dark Knight just seemed to go on a bit too long for me .
Taken was great, I forgot about that !
Just downloaded Traitor - supposed to be good (though now its 2009 so will be in next year's category ;))
Re: My Top 5 films of the year
2009 lookin forward to
watchmen,
x men origins:wolverine,
terminator :salvation
transformers:revenge of the fallen
feelin a couple of them will be on my 2009 fav list at end of this year
Re: My Top 5 films of the year
I thought In Bruge could have been better, maybe colin farrel's character just annoyed me a bit. It was pretty good.
I liked Sarah Marshall, it was pretty good, Ironman good, didn't blow me away. Still haven't seen Dark Night. That's about it really.
Did the Bank Job come out this past year, liked that.
Re: My Top 5 films of the year
yeah I agree with Drago, In Bruge was the best of the year
also liked The dark knight, Stop Loss, The Forbiden Kingdom, Rocknrolla and The boy in the stripped pyjamas
Re: My Top 5 films of the year
In no particular order. These are the movies I watched and really enjoyed for different reasons.
Felon
The Curious case of Benjamin Button
Street Kings ( down and dirty cop movie)
Pride and Glory (another good down and dirty cop movie)
Wall-E
Traitor
Death Race (just loved the mayhem)

Great thread.
My faves so far although I have a stack of good films to watch now so might change.
1. Defiance
2. Taken
3. Zack and Miri Make a Porno
4. Seven Pounds
5. The Changeling
Going to watch Appoloosa in a bit which looks awesome. Also got Revolutionary Road, Pride and Glory and Body of Lies to watch so lots of good stuff to look forward to over the weekend. :)
