Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
Like I had told El Gamo a few months back.
Takefumi had been showing signs of age in his last fights.
At his best he was a top guy but inactivity and injuries got the best of him.

Not really surprising to me honestly, he'd shown major signs of slippage lately. Was at one time a very good fighter. This was a rematch, didn't see the first one either.
Not surprised at all. Kaovichit should of won there first fight. .
Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
yep, pretty much the way I saw it, didn't even know he was fighting but when I saw it on fightnews, wasn't surprised at all.

Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
Behind the ear I guess, f'd up his equilibrium?
I guess overall he's not reacting to punches as well anymore.
Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
i think he wasted his year of 08 after having a great 07
but i think he bounce back

Nah I think he's done. Those wars with Lorenzo Parra and Roberto Vazquez have caught up to him. And like Ouma said it looks like he can't take a punch like he use to. He should retire. He had a nice little run. And made some good money in Japan. Time to call it quits.
Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
Holy shit... He looked worst then what I imagined.
It really sucks to see a fighter who's just a shadow of himself.
I mean Sakata didn't slip not 1 punch, everything Denkaosan threw he landed. Sakatas one of those fighters who could box your ears off but for some reason he would much rather brawl and trade shots.
He beat 2 exceptional & top caliber fighters in Parra & Vasquez.

I highly doubt he'll do anything meaningful after this loss...
Re: Takefumi Sakata spoilers
I haven't seen much of Sakata, but I seem to remember him choosing to counter and then tee off, I also remember more upperbody movement. He definately has slowed too much to counter and that punch that knocked him down definately scrambled his balance something fierce. I think he is at the point that Morales is as far as reaction time and punch resistance goes. No point in taking anymore risks, he's had a great career and now is a good time to hang them up.
Kaovachit has some great power too, when he sits down on his punches, something tells me though, he ends up fighting Wongjongkam and gets robbed in Thailand.
