A tech question about our forum

This one is probably directed at Saddo the man himself, but if anyone else knows then feel free to let me know --

I'm wondering if it's possible to be banned from the forum for a specific time each day?

I've been late to work every day this year because i'm on the forum and lose track of time just reading or typing a long post or whatever, and I actually got into trouble today which my work has never ever cared before about ANYONE being late..

If the forum could ban me for about 1 hour in the morning and then be okay just after I should have left for work, then that would really help.. Or even flick of 30 mins before I have to leave, so then if I do want to come on here, I can just get up earlier...

I love sitting here having a coffee in the morning and catching up on shit before heading off to work. It's like how everyone else reads the morning paper, I read here where there are way more relevant topics going on like if a penis is male or female... How can you start the day without a cracking discussion like that..

BUT, if it's possible to ban for an hour each day, i'll have to have a think about it until I get into a better routine of getting up and leaving earlier for work

Perhaps if you write to Ann Landers or Dear Abby, they might be able to help you.

Diz,you know I think your my bro,and yes reading the forum is like reading an on-line version of the trade papers,half the time you get it here first(and Saddo is very proud of that), but c'mon sahib, a little bit of self control wouldnt kill ya bud

Self control is not my strong suit unfortunately so any sort of computer code that may exist that can keep me in line would be quite welcome..

I can empathize with you Diz. I have been like that for almost a year already.

My solution is: Don't open your computer before work.:cool:

I've been good since making this thread... Only 2 or 3 days I think, but i've got off here really early so that i've got plenty of time to get ready...

Seems when you publicly announce your problems, the sort themselves out..
