To be honest with you I like watching the up and coming fighters on Friday fight night with a few cans of larger.
But is it worth the £40 I pay a month for sky.
Dont think so.:-\
Also sky have the odd top fight from America which will be a pisser if i miss.
If the worse comes to the worse I will just resubscribe.

holy crap I had no idea it was that expensive is that like an exclusive Sky thing with extra channels or is that how much everyone pays for it?
Re: Fights on SKY TV in 2009?
its about 48 GBP a month i am cancelling the movie channel as we have seen most of them that they are showing, then we pay 10.99 for Setanta because of the racing channel and the boxing.
Re: Fights on SKY TV in 2009?
10.99 for Setanta ?!? I am paying 12.99, how you manage that ?
I am paying £48 for SKY, £13 for Setanta and £30 for phoneline and broadband.
Given that any big fight is now on Sky Box Office anyway and £17.95 they have got us by the short and curlies !
I really should get rid of of one but don't like to miss anything and with the football and boxing now spread over both what can you do ?!? :-\

Same here . Ive got sky broadband, Setanta and the sports package . A month costs me £55 but if theres a ppv ( which there usually is ) I end up paying around £70 per month the same as my car insurance.
Im paying £10.99 for Setanta though. They wont tell you youre on a premium rate mate. You need to call them. I did and said I wanted the cheaper rate they were advertising to new subscribers and they switched it for me.
Re: Fights on SKY TV in 2009?
I stopped my Sky March 2008 after the Margarito v Cintron fight, also got to see Romanov KO Thaxton. I do not mind missing the domestic fights, I would have liked to see Dean Francis and Kell Brooks but it costs too much. The international fights missed were Hatton fights and ODH fights and the Moseley v Mayorga. Compare that to Setanta's list of fights for £10 (now £10.99) Sky is a rip off especially charging for Amir Khan fights (£14.99).
To the US posters would you prefer watching free fights at 4 or 5 am or paying the dollars to watch them at a more reasonable hour?
Re: Fights on SKY TV in 2009?
i got virgin+ £36 p/m get setanta sky 1,2,3 all discovery channels(no sky movies or skysports) & other factual channels plus broadband plus phoneline
fights loads better on setanta as well
skysports is piss poor for boxing now
i will never pay over fifty quid a month to sky the robbing bstards then put big fights on ppv anyway BSTARDS:mad:

I phoned up setanta yesterday and said I wanted to cancel(bluff) and they dropped the price to £9.99 a month from £12.99 but you got to stay witht them for a year which I would anyway.
Save 30 odd quid a year.;D
Re: Fights on SKY TV in 2009?
Is anyone showing the Berto fight next week? Sky showed a few of his but I don't know about this one.

well done mate, always found sky to be good to deal with. i blagged things off them in the past & had price drops. when new customers could have a free sky+ box i rang up as an excisting customer & kicked off got a free sky+ box, cant be bad.
