WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will make the first defense of his belt on March 21, 2009 against mandatory challanger Juan Carlos Gomez from Cuba. The 12 round title affair will take place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer Halle in Stuttgart, Germany. “I’m sorry for Vitali,” said Gomez. “That he has to lose his title affter such a short reign.
