The surfer boys (Andre etc), heard of Tom Wegener?

I just saw on the news that one of the really big surf magazines just voted this guy Tom Wegener the best surfboard shaper in the world.. He's an Aussie based out of Noosa... They showed an example of his boards and they are awfully strange.. They are carved purely out of a special wood that is entirely resistant to the salt water, no fibreglass. They don't have a fin, have a round nose similar to a skateboard with pretty straight sides, and look like the back 30% of the board sliced off so that it's flat.. He said that it sticks really well to the water at speeds and feels great to ride and many surfers around the world swear by them..

Thanks mate, new to me,but I keep to myself on the coast mostly.
Recon they would be great in real shallow water which means deeper barrells .you could go where others with fins couldnt on some reef breaks.
