Is Non-US Radio as Gay as It is Here?
I find myself constantly rolling my eyes and longing for the day when I can get my satellite radio turned back on. It's just so sad how infantile and edited language is on the radio in this country. It wasn't this bad before Janet Jackson and the Superbowl (which has nothing to do with radio). Is radio just as crappy elsewhere?

Most of the radio stations over here in the U.K are crap.I used to listen to a bit of radio every now and again as i was driving to and from work, but it got to a stage that i just could'nt listen to the channels anymore.I mean there full of adverts and there's too much talking bollocks in between songs, and the songs were repeated about 5 times a day on the same radio station!!

Yeah, take those tablets.
I wasn't even thinking as far as music, but you guys are right. Songs that have curse words in them get bleeped now where they use to get a pass under artistic license. The DJs so desperately want to be personalities and have 0 idea of what is interesting to say. They want to be Howard Stern but have no clue how to be him.

When I bought my truck I got the free six month trial of Sirius radio and listened to Howard Stern and Bubba the Love Sponge almost everyday I enjoyed it for awhile but when my trial was up I decided not to subscribe. All I listen to now is talk radio, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity. I love listening to these guys especially Glen Beck hes my favorite.

Wadeb, you live in Tampa. You don't listen to Bubba on The Bone?
Re: Is Non-US Radio as Gay as It is Here?
I listen to Talk Sport and Radio 5 Live when I can.
Re: Is Non-US Radio as Gay as It is Here?
Mostly I listen to the classic rock station here in Toronto. I have no major issues with the playlist or censorship or anything. And for the most part I like to have my music interspersed with talking. The only problem is that most of the DJs tend to act like bozos. If they acted like that in real life, they'd have no friends I am sure.
Re: Is Non-US Radio as Gay as It is Here?
I listen to A.M radio like a fiend, love the opinion and diversity, good to hash it out.Listen to Neil Bortz,Ed Shultz,Man Cow,Once in a while Rush...but he really takes strokes himself waaaay to much....Michael Savage,wheeeew.....used to listen to Stephanie Miller but they took her off.Yeah, shes as left as they come but damn she is hilarious!!
As far a music,Im all about the CD'sjust hate commercials and repeats. And why must everysingle female DJ on classic rock stations sound as if she is smoking 2 packs a day???
