Just watching some of his Lightweight fights again, and when i watch those double left hooks to the body and the right uppercut to the solar plexus, i think im watching Marco Antonio Barrera, Julio Cesar Chavez.
Shane Mosley certainly has that Mexican body attack down to a tee. I forgot just how good of a body puncher he was and still is, but we haven't seen him use it as much lately but he rediscovered it against Antonio Margarito.
i agree! he's really a great puncher despite his age now. but come to think of it he still go the speed when he beats Margarito!
He definitely was a really good body puncher when he was younger, he isn't that good of a body puncher anymore, he lands a few hard shots, but as guys got bigger both his body work and his combinations have gone down hill. He stilll landed a few hard body punches on Margarito, but not like he used to. He certainly wasn't landing anything like Cotto was against him, even though Cotto didn't really make a point to go to the body against him.

Mosley despite how he fights now or in the future will be regarded as a great body puncher..period
Mosley is a good all around fighter, my one knock is he can get discouraged......He will never quit but in the Winky and Vernon fights he acknoledged (sp - I have been drinking) in his corner he didnt think he could win........
I've been saying this for a while now.
At Lightweight he was a scintilating body puncher.
