Rafa Marquez may be back on April 4 versus Reynaldo Lopez

Its on boxingscene, its not totally set but the quotes are attributed to Nacho Beristain and it seems like it will probably happen.

If you watch FNF you know Lopez, he knocked out Mike Oliver in 3 a while back. Shouldn't be too much of a problem for Rafa, just more about what Rafa has at this point really.

Also Beristain said Alonso Lopez, Ricardo Lopez' son, will be on the card. He's 1-0, be interesting to see if he can fight.

Anyway I suspect if Lopez falls through Rafa will still plan on coming back around this time. A good move not to just jump right back to another brutal fight.

Glad he's going this route.Personally,I'm fine with no 4th Vasquez fight.Rafa has alot left to offer and with all of the shifts within 122-135 its a very crowded neighborhood.Lopez is a comer but got bashed in last one with J.Gonzalez,should be tough and forceful enough to walk into a good 'comeback' TKO for Rafa.

I agree with this being a good decision, he definately needs to take a step back before taking a step up. This will at least gauge how much he has taken from World Wars I - III. I love Rafa's style and want to see him stay in the mix. If nothing else Lopez can punch, so Rafa's defense better be on for this one.

I hope he comesback if not vs. Reynaldo then someone else anything but a top caliber fight as a comeback IMO.
I think he needs to see where he's at and how he feels.
