My Berto - Collazo Scorecard

114-113 Berto

It was a very close fight, i could imagine other score of 114-113 for Collazo. I doubt anyone could score the fight any wider than 114-113 for either fighter.

I gave round 1 to Collazo because he landed the better shots including a big left hand that hurt Berto.

I gave round 2 to Berto because he boxed on the outside, was busier and landed the better shots.

I gave round 3 to Collazo because in round 3 both fighters started fighting on the inside, Collazo proved to be better infighter as he landed more often and was hurting Berto.

I gave round 4 to Collazo because he landed the better shots, was busier and pressured Berto. I scored it a 10-8 for Collazo because Berto was deducted a point for holding.

I gave round 5 and 6 to Berto because he started using his footwork more, moving side to side and kept Collazo on the defensive because of his fast combos.

I gave round 7 and 8 to Berto because he was the much busier fighter, Collazo seemed to want to take a breather and this earned Berto the rounds.

I gave round 9 and 10 to Collazo because he stepped up his workrate big time in these rounds and landed the better shots down the stretch.

I gave Berto round 11 and 12 because he was the busier fighter and landed the better punches, Collazo was clearly tired at this stage. Berto winning the last two rounds sealed the fight for him in my opinion.

I had it 114-113 Collazo, I think I still have my card with notes somewhere, or it may have been thrown in the trash :P
Great close fight though.

Can't remember the rounds so would have to watch it again to identify each round I gave each fighter, but my final tally added up the same as yours. 114-113 Berto.

I scored it the same, watched it three times, two with sound one without and 3 out of three I had it 114-113 Collazo.

I scored it for Berto, my score I posted somewhere was something like 116-113 but I didn't score the point deduction. So 116-114 to Berto. Close, competitive fight but Berto won it.

I STILL haven't seen this fight but hopefully I will soon and then I can comment and vote.

Berto vs Collazo (full fight) - Boxing Highlights

I don't see how people have Collazo winning the fight anymore.
Round 1: Collazo caught Berto off balance once with a left cross, and gets a left to the body in thats it. Berto counters with an equally effective cross, sends Collazo to the ropes then lands several effective punches. He also lands a few punches on the outside, shows good defensive skills 20 seconds to the end of the round. There is no way he deserved to lose that round he landed twice as many punches if not more, and he showed better defense for most of it, was just as aggressive as Collazo. The eleventh round was another one that Berto deserves and some people give it to Collazo, but its silly because Berto not only lands more punches in the round, but much harder ones as well.

I don't remember which rounds I gave to whom, but I also had it 114-113 Berto.

same with me

berto came on strong late on but by the end i still believed collazo had just done enough through the middle of the fight to take a decision.

Think everyone in the know knew berto was always going to get a close decision and for the 3rd time collazo comes agonisingly close to a huge win
