Suppose you had inside information that no-one else had that your favorite athlete (non-boxing) was juiced. Presumably blowing the whistle on this athlete would cause severe image and career problems.
What would you do. Speak Up? Or Keep Your Mouth Shut and enjoy the show?.
I say non-boxing because in boxing more so than any other sport, the physical well being of the opponent would become a serious issue.

I would speak out. I haven't really had favourite athletes in sports other than Boxing since I was a kid.
It's a tough question to answer as some sports are much more vigilant than others against their use. If it were a sport like baseball where everybody seems to be on it, then possibly the answer might be no - but for me something like athletics where there is real rigorous testing means that they are gaining a significant advantage over other clean athletes then absolutely yes.
I'd tell. Hell, I know of a current NBA player who had a wart on his penis.
Not sure I understand the question. Do you mean know the athlete personally? Well, lets say that however you learned of the info, it is reliable and that you have the ability to break the case open. It's pretty hypothetical though, as you or I as an average person are unlikely to know what someone like LeBron James or Cal Ripken does behind closed doors. But OK, I don't mean you are a close friends, just that somehow you know. Unlikely that you would know? well, I suppose, but it's beside the point.Quote:

If I knew the person personally can't see me doing it. If I didn't and it ws some star..i'd prob. not be able to keep my trap shut and turn them in via loudmouthitis.
Steroid (or other performance enhancing cheating like EPO or blood doping) has been endemic in American sports like NFL and baseball for years, I'm afraid. It is now nearly accepted that it's OK to do it and people are openly debating if they should be allowed.
I think that it is cheating and damaging to health. I lost all respect for people who get caught .... even 'Evan Fields' !!
Still, somebody, somewhere is doing genetic manipulation and getting away with it becausethe testers haven't devised a good way of finding out. It's an arms race!
I'd keep my mouth shut. My favorite athlete would have "hitman" money laying around and if I dodged that bullett than I would have to make a national television apperance or twelve.
