If you were wealthy / financially independant
and didn't need to work, what would you do with your time?
you know where I'm going with this... they say that whatever your answer is should be your chosen career path.
So if you said restore old cars, you should go into auto body repair or be a mechanic.
you know what I'd do? Absolutely nothing. I'd sleep in every day, then go sit by the pool. Then I'd take my Ferrari for a spin, get some drive thru..., go to borders or chapters and waste time, go to home depot and waste time, etc. It would all be about wasting time looking at stuff I can afford but don't really need.
oh, but I would absolutely open a White Castle if there wasn't one in the area I was living in.
So what's my career path? Drug dealer I guess....
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
If I was financially independent I would get my windows tinted in my car, pay off my house, then travel the world. Probably hire someone to make a self operating website for my sportsbook, then travel the world some more.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
There's a few places I'd travel to internationally, but there's lots in Canada I'd like to see more of.
Mostly I'd give myself living options. A place in the city, and also a place out in the sticks where I could really hide out and get away from it all. Nothing too obvious, I don't need a mansion.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
Well I love Fishing/Hunting and I'm a big sports fan. So its a toss up. Get my own Hunting/Fishing show or buy my own sports franchise...I don't think I'd be very good at that though. I'd be a cross between Al Davis and Jerry Jones, always meddling and not staying in my lane. So I think Fishing/Hunting show is the way I'd go.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
Dont change anything, I miss the Hungry years, the once upon a times, the lonely long a goes we never had a Dime, The days of me and you we missed along the way. How could we be so blind not to see the door, closing on the world we now hunger for, the days of me and you, I miss the Hungry years.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
I'd probably spent half my time doing sweet fuck all and other hedonistic shit and the rest of my time in philanthropal activities trying to help people out. I might try to get into politics as well to spread my bizarre leftist views.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
I would do about what I am doing now, but I would use my power and influence to make sure all of my friends had good employment.
I would hold big BBQs with kegs, and own a bar..........not to make money but to just hold steady or keep it at an acceptable loss. The bar would serve all my favorites: Stella, Schlitz, Hamms, Old MIlwaukee, Budwieser, Moosehead and have hot girls waitressing and BBQ wings.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
Spend lots of time sitting on a beach supping cuba libres.
Buy a snooker club. Burn it down.
Sponsor a darts player. And a boxer.
Gamble.
Drink lots.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
Buy an island, set up a monarchy. Maybe employ an army. Outlaw things I don't like such as those stupid blue tooth things.

And that's why you'll never get wealthy.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
I would spend more time bringing up my children and give them all the love and attention they need.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
Honestly not that much would change in my lifestyle except the scale of investments. My investment strategy percentages would stay the same.
I don't want or need a fancy car or a fancy house, I love my wife, I love the food I make. Life is good. I may dabble in venture capitalism a bit,
plenty of good ideas out there that just need funding.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
I would open a White Castle in Flint, MI. When my wife and I lived there several years ago we were surprised to find out there wasn't one. At all.
Apart from travel, I'd go back to school to get a Master's, possibly a Ph.D in English. I would write FULL TIME and publish my own stuff.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
I'd go around and buy poor peoples' most prized possession.
Then I'd burn it or smash it up in front of them, laugh and drive off in my gold plated Hummer.
Re: If you were wealthy / financially independant
X would do that, he is not a nice bloke.
