Unforunately he's insane in general, not just in the ring. Unlikely to see him in the rind again unless it's in some sort of circus.
Re: Ike Ibeabuchi paroled?
Who cares??? He's old and like 7000 pounds now
Re: Ike Ibeabuchi paroled?
i just wonder how far he could have went, he was undefeated with wins over byrd and tua and with boxing you never know. I hope he's still not crazy and although his prime is probably gone, you never know what could happen in boxing. I hate "wasted talent" and i always wonder "what if?".
Re: Ike Ibeabuchi paroled?
It's the 'what if' question that has probably elevated him higher than he probably would have been if he had stayed active. Looked the part, but untested at genuine world level, his fight with Tua was very close and Tua never became a champ.

....what if the lead singer for Sublime never OD'd and Sublime ended up being like Smashmouth or Sugar Ray???
Re: Ike Ibeabuchi paroled?
His data base crime record lists the sexual assault conviction as "active" which would probably mean no,he didnt get parole

It was the fact that he fought Tua's fight, and still had a close fight regardless of who won, then he fought a good boxer in Chris Byrd and looked evasive, and a polished boxer. I am still not sure that he would have beaten Lewis who was so good at keeping distance, but he definitely would have a been great.
Good speed, great chin, incredible stamina, good defensive skills, good power, and great strength. Also he had a will to win, but like Tyson if he wasn't stable mentally who knows how far he could have gone.
