HBO Triple header:Kirkland vs.Julio-Ortiz vs.Arnaoutis-Guerrero vs.Yordan

Just getting a thread up real quick for this awesome threesome HBO has heading our way tonight.Nice pattern we have with the three fights per card lately,featuring some top notch up & comers and future and current title contenders.The more the merrier and if ya have a RBR in you....throw it in :beerchug:.........:box3:should have done this alot earlier

I have know idea who the headliner is tonight,suspect it will be undefeated top prospect James Kirkland 24-0 (21) vs.Former title challenger Joel Julio 34-2 (31) in a battle that is sure to provide fireworks and I'm willing to bet we will not here a final bell :shinner:.This is a definite and much needed step up for solid Kirkland as he marched to wards a the elites at 154.Standing in his path is a very capable Julio,looking to rebound himself off a clear loss to skilled WBO champion Sergiy Dzinziruk in his last showing.This is a huge opportunity for Julio,looking to meet some early career expectations.Hide the children.....dont go to the refridgerator....as this one could be explosive.

Robert Guerrero 23-1-1 (16) is looking to add his skills to the talent heavy Jr.Light division as he meets one Daud cino Yordan 23-0 (17) out of Indonesia.Guerrero has shown some improvements after a reign as IBF Featherweight champion,has gotten away from his past propencity at 'bending' the rules and is a viable threat.Yordan...frankly is a complete mystery to me.He fought on the JMM/Casamayor undercard and looks to be rising in weight himself.

In what can be deemed a nice Jr.welterweight crossroads scrap,it will be fast streeking Victor Ortiz 23-1-1 (18) going against very capable and crafty Mike Arnaoutis 21-2-2 (10).After much pedestrian competition early on in career and posting victorys in graduale step ups,KO1 over Carlos Maussa,TKO 10 over shopworn Emmanuel Clottey and a 2nd round TKO over descent Jeffry Resto....this is a significant test.Mighty Mike has been to the big leauges before with mix results...Drawing with hard as nails Juan Urango in 04,a blast out of iron jawed Jesse Feliciano (ok,not so big leauge he),lossing a split 12 in a nice tight battle with Ricardo Torres for the vacant WBO 140 belt,and a wide loss to current champion Kendall Holt.

Undefeated Rock Allen is on the undercard.....doubt we'll see it but who knows.This kicks off at 9:00 pm over here....1:10 from now.Lets hope for some solid fisticuffs and awesome action....NO DRAWS ;D

Im leaning towards Ortiz in a big breakthrough statement win....(sorry Killer;D)......Julio after he climbs off the deck to TKO Kirkland in a shootout.....and have to go with Guerrero vs. the Mystery man Yordan.....but we love suprises as well. Cheers and save me a cold one

just back from a heavy night out and keeping myself awake to see the main 2 fights!!

Starts at 3am Uk time and probably wont finish till bout 6, fear not though as ive plenty of alcohol and take away food to keep me going through the night!! ;D;D;D

Well,went looking for some vid of Cino Yordan and all that came up was endless Michael Jordan clips ;D........Has ANYONE seen this guy in action??

Been thinking,The longer this gos,the better it is for Arnaoutis.Ortiz has really been skating by on some gimmes??This one may steal the show....if Mike can make it past initial onslaught

Yordan not here to just fall over,pretty smooth so far.Finds Guerrero with a couple of straight rights.Yordan tying him up in close and not a lot of fire.Looping left hand moves Guerrero ,this one is cagey.1st Round to the Mystery man Yordan

Dissapointing opening fight. Guerrrero got a messy cut, but it didn't seem that bad to me. A NC to begin proceedings. :-\

Nice rear foot ability from Yordan.Big cut above Guerreros eyes now...ruled a head butt.Yordan on the inside is capable....blood bothering Guerrero and they are checking it in corner now...Guerrero says he can not see to Dr. and really does not show alot of response.

Fight stopped and its a shame.This was just getting good.Loooooong way to come for Yordan to settle on NC(??)

Crowd chanting bullshit ??? prior to official announcement,Its a No decision.Talk about anti climatic

Damn that sucks for Guerrero. A fight on HBO, in his hometown, and then the fight gets stopped early. :p
