Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
Seems like alot of people will be cheering the great little Mexican on,and Khan has alot of haters who will the crowd be cheering for.
If it is for MAB, carnt remember an away fighter getting a bigger reception than a home fighter.Anyone else think of it happening?
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
I reckon the support will be for Barrera at the weigh in too . Im on my way now. Cant wait to see the legend Barrera
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
MAB is a legend , most will cheer him , i live only a few miles from Khan and i will be supporting MAB.
So the answer is yes , the crowd will be on Marco's side. in my opinion
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
Based on the weigh in, Im quite sure the crowd will be pro Barrera . Its looking like a terrible night for Khan . Booed by against the away fighter then knocked out by a 35 year old
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
No matter what, there will be more pro Khan crowd coz it's his home turf.

Not really, many people I know who are going are there to see MAB and would never go to see Khan againsed his usual opposition.

We'll find out tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it won't be the same crowd intensity that cheered for Marco when he fought Naz.

Why not? You seem to think that because Khan is British all the British fans are going to support Khan. Barrera is the attraction here, it's one last chance for boxing fans in Britain to see one of the current greats in action.
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
It will be a pro Barerra crowd unless Khan starts to beat him. Then it will turn into a Khan crowd.

That won't happen - the events of Christmas Day in Moscow 1985 will never be repeated ;)
Khan will have the majority of fans in the crowd. There will be a strong muslim contingent in the crowd - a couple of guys I work with are going with large groups of friends, are not really boxing fans and going to see Khan. They are a bit concerned about what the atmosphere will be like and if there'll be hostilities :-\ Guess I am a bit too...
I will be cheering on MAB but I won't be booing Khan - not a fan of his but I don't believe in that sort of thing. Can't be good for the lad on home turf and will only fuel the racial arguments afterwards.
Anyway I am setting off now - might see some of you there
It's still a pick 'em for me...

LMAO ;D;D;D best quote of the week on saddos!!!!
Of all my friends/family watching tonight they`ll all be cheering on barrera as i suspect most of the nation will be along with a good 10thousand in attendance at the MEN.
Of course you will also have your casual boxing fan who likes to just show up at these events and get themselves on tv that`ll be routing for khan along with quite a big asian population up north that`ll be in attendance.
But amongst the rest of us we`ll be solidly behind MAB and cheering him on with every punch
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
I'll be cheering on Khan, although I have to say it would be harsh to see a guy like Barerra beaten by someone who hasn't earnt the chance to fight him. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Khan TKO rd 7, and if my prediction goes tits up then I give permission for everyone to call me a dickhole :D
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
I've got nothing against Khan, but I am going to the fight to see a true boxing legend and to support one of the greatest fightesr to come out of the great fighting nation of mexico.
Re: Will it be a pro Barrera crowd on sat night?
MAB is my favourite non-British fighter, and I lost all respect for Khan when he asked for so much money they had to put his fights on PPV... The Clown hasn't even won a British title.
He'll be sent into retirement tonight, at the age of 22, by the legend.

No, that's not what I meant. It's just that I would be cheering for Khan if I was British, especially when he's fighting one of respected current greats.
I don't know why Khan has so many haters. I don't know much about him, but I've seen a couple of his interviews. And he seem to be pretty decent guy. He's 10 times humble than Hamed or Haye that's for sure.
