Bute's body shot best of year so far?
Even though the moronic Showtime shill Nick Charles and Bug-eyed Steve Farhood called it a low blow, it was a perfectly thrown and incredibly fast shot to the gut (well above the belt line) and thrown with malice aforethought. Best I have seen in a while and the first solar plexus shot in a great while that took a guy out. Most shots that do that are to the liver area and are launched somewhere in Culican, Mexcico

I've been trying to find a vid of last night since it wasn't shown on UK tv, I heard that Bute blew Zuniga away though, and since you say it was with a body shot makes me wanna see it even more! ... any links would be appreciated ;)

Here it is. Note the look on Zuniga's face when he goes down

It was a serious body shot, and Bute has some serious power. Damn fast and skilled too.
He's gotten a lot of flack for the Marlon slow count, and I think it has caused a lot of peoole to forget the 11 rounds of domination over Andrade before it.
Body shots are underappreciated, no doubt. Not as exciting as a head snapping punch and the flurry that follows to end most KO fights, but meh, are a painful part of boxing. Ive only ever been hit with a good one once and it is something. All I could do was make a quick decision, "Alright then, do I throw up on the canvas, or on the Bastards shoes who just did this to me?"

HAHA i got hit hard with a body shot...it sucks.
Re: Bute's body shot best of year so far?
It wasn't as emphatic, but Cotto landed a big body shot on Jennings to drop him the first time, Berto landed a huge right uppercut to the stomach on COllazo in the last round which really winded him, but this one tops them all.

I think Dimitrenko's body shot on Krasniqi was pretty awesome....it's rare to see a KO at heavyweight from a body shot but alas that was at the end of 2008.

Zuniga is a bloated middleweight, a slugger and a pauper.
To see someone who is challenging for the world title, be so unconditioned in the mid-riff to be stopped by someone like Bute, who is hardly a sledgehammer-puncher, just shows what this fight was all about.
Inkin beat Zuniga, a yellow chicken. Thats says it all really im afraid.
