OK, seriously what are the odds?
So I'm sitting here looking up some stats and fighters online as usual I've got a couple of tabs/windows opened to different sources.
I'm surfing the net and I see an article that caught my eye.
I'm really not sure what to think but after reading it I've come to the conclusion that "someone" either had the EXACT same thoughts as me on the MAB-Khan fight OR that "someone" is here at Saddos or reads at Saddos and took my comments.
(or I'm going crazy)

You'd think a team that's been on the world stage this long would know and think ahead about situations like this. I kept telling my friend here they need to pull the plug before the 4th or this will end in favor of Khan by points. All Khan has to do is make it past the 4th...

In comparison 35 year old Barrera, now promoted by Don King arrived in Manchester with a forty person entourage minus his usual cut man Rudy Perez for his WBA, WBO Lightweight Title fight with 22-year-old Amir Khan 20-1, 15 Ko’s. Early in the opening round Barrera suffered a severe cut on the left side of his head just below the hair line from an accidental clash of heads which left Khan with a small cut over his left eye. As the round continued it was evident by Barrera’s red painted face the cut would be come a factor. Barrera’s corner did not appear prepared to deal with the cut. In the fourth round the fight was examined by the ring side physician and Barrera did not appear to protest out loud. The fight continued and the action was again called to a stop and after his second exam the doctor advised referee Dave Parris to top the fight.
The cut was a large deep gash from the start and should have been stopped immediately. There was a constant shower of blood and no major difference between rounds four and five. The only change now the fight would go to the scorecards where Khan was clearly in charge.
Some prudence in Barrera’s corner or maybe a little less machismo on the part of the seven time world champion referee Parris would have addressed the severity of the cut and called it earlier.
Putting the cut aside Khan was sharp. His hand speed and new high defense would have caused Barrera problems with two eyes. He used a snapping triple jab and sharp right hands putting Barrera on his heels. The cut was a factor but even in a no decision Khan would have proved he belongs at the top with the world top lightweights. Maybe a no decision should have been the call but it would serve only to give Barrera one more shot. No one can deny the quality Freddie Roach has brought to Team Khan.
Don't know why but I just find it very strange as I read it it just felt like the exact same thing I posted but with added text.

Perhaps questionable. But, and take no offense, nothing was said in either articles/comments that was esp. profound....that couldnt have been thought by someone else.

Well I did put a lot of emphasis on Team MAB not being smart enough to know the situation.
I did bring up the Guerrero fight and said MAB should have told the ref. something just like Guerrero did.

To be honest it was hardly an original thought. I think everybody within boxing practically will think Barrera and his team fucked up in electing to fight on, especially after he clearly lost the first 3 rounds.
He should have quit whilst he was behind.
Using Guerreo as an example of what Barrera should have done is to be expected as well seeing as that only happened last weekend.
I really doubt somebody comes on here to read your thoughts before they post on their own forum.

I'm with you cutmemick. The general flow of the article is similar to yours and the points made are made at the same points in the published one. The mention of the cut, MAB's team, the ref, the doc all seem seem to follow what you wrote, in the same order. Sure someone could have the same thoughts but putting them on paper (so to speak) with the same structure is a bit statistically odd i would reckon.

Truthfully Mick, there isn't anything particularly different in there, I think a lot of people thought the same, although I will admit the actual flow of it was very similar to yours. Still, doubt its ICB for the reasons above, he's not one to so dramatically re-word things

On the Guerrero incident. I think he did the smart thing not only because the cut was a bad one, but his wife is not well.
There is no need to take a beating when you can just heal up and start fresh. If someone butted my face open at the start of the fight I would instantly stop, drop, and roll right under the ropes and be sitting in the dressing room with one glove off before the round could end.

I say coincidence, as there really aren't any words/verbs that were really profoundly used in conjunction with your posts.. Same general idea, though, i'll give you that.. but considering the subject matter, i don't think it would be crazy for two people to have the same comments on the topic..
