Sorry guys but what with all this championship talk its only right i get a relegation thread started what with the financial implications of 21st century football making relegation far more implicating than actually winning the league....

Now im assuming that the cut off is probably going to be something around 38/39pts the usual.

Everyone up to bolton is still bang in it and even finding 2 wins from the last 8 games at this stage of the season is going to prove very tough indeed.

I cant see west brom getting past 35 which would suggest they`ll go as will middlesbrough who dont look like theyve even got a win left in them let alone 4 of them.

bolton, hull and pompey should have a couple more wins in them each to survive the dreaded drop and stokes home form im pretty sure will see them home and dry come may.

That leaves me with picking 1 from sunderland, newcastle and blackburn and i quite fancy newcastle to suffer a major fall from grace and head for the championship

My predictions are exactly the same as yours mate.

West Brom are fucked. Middlesborough look like they have nothing left and the geordies definitely dont look up for a fight. Shay given saved them points and now they dont even have that luxury. It will be either them or blackburn.

I think we will be safe (i am a pompey fan) we have a game in hand and we look up for the battle...a home win against everton was a massive result for us and will spur the lads on. At this stage of the season you've got to look who's up for the fight and to me...Stoke, Hull, pompey, sunderland and Bolton (although dont think bolton have anything to worry about really) all look like they are well up for going into the trenches.

The geordies, boro and borm are all capitulating faster than Michael Spinks against Tyson.

Yep agreed with you fellas. Although one of the bottom 3 with 8 games to go nearly always gets out of it, just think about Bolton & Fulham last year both were dead and buried. If anybody gets out of it it's Middlesborough, but I doubt they have the stomach for it. Steve Gibson is too loyal, Southgate should've gone 5-10 games ago, and if he has the impetus from a new manager would probabaly have saved them

Like most am desperately hoping pompey dont get dragged back into it (which they wont as i actually think harts a better coach than what he gets credit for)
