Anyone Else Reached This Point
Where your so deep in the sport, you cant just watch a fight for the fun of it anymore. Where you feel you have to analyze everything?
A fight I dont need to watch comes on anymore on TV,I dont watch it,it feels like Im punching my time card back in,and going back to work.
Re: Anyone Else Reached This Point
yeah. sometimes i cant finish watching a whole fight, because i'll spend too much time going back and extensively watching one exchange over and over again. its done wonders for my analytical skills when it comes to boxing. but its tedious man. i know what you mean about the hard work part. To me it feels like sitting in class and studying till your eyes hurt. I enjoy it though. Now a fight to me is so much more than looking for the knockout punch.

Exactly the same with me. Its not only with boxing though, its with everything. Like I haven't watched hockey for ages nor am I a fan of it. But I've learned to analyze everything and it carried over to there. I could predict when the other team would score based on the weaknesses of the defensive line and goalie. But I cant just watch and enjoy anymore.

Exactly
Anymore when Im watching a fight,Im studying a potential opponent to see what they do.
I wouldnt quit it for the world,I dont know what else Id do all day. But I noticed this last night, there was a fight on ESPN classic last night, and I just turned it off, because I had no vested interest in it. Id just spent hours working on getting a fighter her NJ liscence, and trying to get a few fights booked, not to mention one fell through because I kept coming up with decent fighters rather then tomato cans, and I was just in no mood for it,because it felt like I was going back to work
