I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
I just went to ESPN site and bunch of other boxing sites, the local newspaper, sport publications, etc. and it’s a bit sad how everybody is almost celebrating Pac's victory and legacy already :( . When someone mentions something about Pac's victory there's always this big thing about Pac being the greatest of greats and all but if someone out there says something about Hatton winning its just like "If Hatton wins, nice...but Pac's victory would mean soooo much because..." Sometimes it seems as if Ricky Hatton was a journeyman not getting too much credit. Now I will be even more sad if Hatton is laying on the canvas on fight night :( . I'll make sure I have some tissue with me.
COME ON RICKYYYYYYYYY! LET'S DO IIIIIIIIIT!
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
Don't feel bad for him. All that means is he stands to gain a lot more recognition and respect if he does pull out the victory.

I guess that is what will make this fight more exciting for me. Cheering for the underdog, for the guy that nobody is giving hope at all, which I can see why of course. Pac is on a roll.
After seeing that the press has praised Pac already and talks about Hatton as if he was just a stepping stone, I wonder what they will all say IF Hatton won. Will they just give Ricky a pat on the shoulder and sent him to the locker room or will they make a big deal just like they are already with Pac? Let's see, let's see.

Fuel for the fire hopefully......I hope he hasn't let all the negative talk bout him get in his head. Last time he had all the naysayers out in full force, yelling abouthow he couldn't win, he got knocked out. Pac is no Floyd but still a damn dangerous opponent. I personally think Ricky will lose but I'm hoping he stomps Pac decisively.
Go Hatton!!!
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
That's nothing compare to how they downplayed Pacquiao against DLH.

They'll probbly say he should have won as Pac got lucky against Oscar and he should have never traveled to higher weight classes in the 1st place. I don't see too much praise for Hatton, Stateside anyways.
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
AsianSensation,
At least there were people who would give Pac hope when he fought Oscar. With Hatton, I barely see anybody from the press give him hope. Many are already celebrating Pac's victory pretty much.
Saw your Japanese flag and I was wondering...Nihonjin nano? Nanka, nihon no hatta mitekara, nihonjin kanaaaa to omoutta. Sa, Rikiiii gambareeee! Ikee! Ikeee! Mageru sou dakedo na! heheheheh!

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I can imagine a "Nice job champ!...Now, let's talk about upcoming fights on HBO..."
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
It will just make his victory all the sweeter.:)
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
IMO things are way easier on Hatton, he doesn't ahve the weight of the world on his shoulders, its his natural weight class against a guy who has had trouble with his style, he has nothing to loss and everything to gain.
Re: I am sad for Ricky Hatton :(
I Think It Will Give Ricky More Reason To Give 100%.

Don't feel too bad for him mate, over here in the UK not a single pundit, boxer or anyone involved with boxing is picking anything other than a Hatton win.
The whole sky team, Calzaghe, Froch, Khan, McGuigan, Woodhall, Nelson, McCrory etc have all said they reckon Hatton will win.
There has only been one person I've seen in the UK who thinks Hatton will lose and you won't even need three guesses.
Yup, Frank Warren. Oh the bitterness of the man :p
Not sure what Junior Witter thinks nobody in Britain cares so the press don't bother asking him ;D
