Other than Manny-Hatton!!
i know we are all waiting for the big mega fight this Saturday but I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that Caballero fought last night and got a split decision win. Caballero??? the guy who everyone is saying that is probably the best in the division, or at least one of the best in the division. did he have an off night or was Mathebula that good. apart from fighting most of his career in Africa, he is pretty unknown. if he is pretty good, then that's even better, more good fighters to an already packed division. anyone seen the fight? was it close? they were fighting in Panama, in Caballero's home?

That is odd, Mathebula is a really unknown quantity, never seen him before. I can say for certain though, that the judges would not be on his side.

I didn't see the fight but I'm guessing Mathebula is that good... Caballero always had a height and reach advantage over his opponents but Mathebula is as tall as Caballero hence giving him problems... Caballero has already 2 losses both to tall boxers...
It's also possible Caballero is underestimating Mathebula...
Caballero got a favorable decision from the judges... Remember they're fighting in Caballero hometurf in Panama...
Next fight for Caballero is Yuriorkis Gamboa at 126 lbs. division...
.

Re: Other than Manny-Hatton!!
I'm really looking forward to Soto-Gaudet, Antillon-Harris & Cordova Jr.-Laurente.
Should all be good fights.

Woooo... 2 huge wins by Filipino boxers.... Good sign... ;)
Super lightweight Dennis Laurente (31-3-4, 16 KOs) won an eight round unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Marvin Cordova (20-1-1, 11 KOs). All three had it 77-74.

Re: Other than Manny-Hatton!!
Caballero sucks... He was way over hyped for beating Molitor, can't believe people thought he deserved a crack at Marquez and Vazquez before JML.
