Pacquiao Marquez 2.... how did you score it?

I rewatched this fight yesterday and scored it for the first time. I remember watching it originially and thinking Marquez nicked it.

113-114 to Marquez

I can see how the judges scores varied though. Although both were cut, Marquez had two, one from the clash of heads(Pacquiaos fault tbh) and the second from a Pac left hand which was a huge one, close to what Vlad had against Lewis. As a result, he looked like he took alot more punishment that Manny, although Manny also had a cut over his right eye which irritated him a bit early on, but wasn't as bad as that of Maarquez.

Also, Pac was continuously instigating the action, but Marquez had the heart of a warrior and came back straight after any of Pacs assaults. Hence two of the judges favoured Pac. In all honsesty I would have had no issue with either fight getting the win.

As much as I now look forward to Marquez-Mayweather, one of them will have to take up the role of the aggressor for this to be interesting.

For the record, Pacquiao at 140lbs destroys Marquez, it's just scary that Pac has retained his speed and increased his power at this weight :o

I had Marquez winning by 1 point:) Marquez deserved to win that fight. But what is done is done.

I can't remember exactly every round how I scored it because I haven't been able to get hold of a copy online since. It was one of the most exciting fights I've ever seen though but I was pissed at the decision. It was close so you can't say it was a robbery, but Marquez doesn't get the credit he deserved and I thought he did enough to win. After what has happened since for Pac, people would be choking on Juan's nuts if he'd got the decision.

I had the fight total 115-112 Marquez. I remember scoring round 8 10-8 Marquez because it was so one sided. If anyone has a copy I'd be extremely grateful.

Not sure how you gave the 2nd round to Manny Pacquiao, to be honest i thought JMM clearly won that round he almost dropped Manny Pacquiao with a left hook at the end of that round. The 1st round was close and cautious but JMM's right hand was the best telling blow of that round.

And the 11th round was quite close aswell but JMM went into another gear in the last 2 rounds. Fighting aggressively and i thought he pulled it out.

The full fight is on youtube if your interested i'll PM you, and yea i remember that 8th round. Where he cut Manny Pacquiao's eye, and battered him with body shots. That round was for certain borderline 10-8 round IMO. And i almost scored it 10-8 myself.

Do you have the full scorecard by any chance? That's an awfully wide scorecard for Pac, I had it 114-112 for Marquez.

I had the fight the exact opposite from the record books.

I had the first fight by Manny Decision (draw on the record books)
Second fight I scored a draw.

How do you have Marquez up by 4 rounds if the knockdown is taken into consideration.

PAcquiao won rounds 1,3,4,7,9,10,11
Marquez won 2,5,6,8,12
115-112 for Pacquiao I believe.

Rounds up for debate 1,7,11
Round 1 Marquez landed one good punch, Whereas Pacquiao landed a good striaght left to the chin, several lefts to the body, and twice as many punches in general were landed in his favor.
Round 7 is the only close round I would concede could have gone either way, but Pacquiao landed more punches in the round, was more exciting, and I gave it to him for that reason.

I think people need to watch round 11 again as a whole: Pacman blocked most of what Marquez was throwing in the round, Manny was landed the better punches in the round, and had the better combinations. IMO this was one of the most obvious rounds Manny deserved that people don't give him on here, but maybe thats because they haven't seen the fight in awhile.

I cant remember the rounds exactly but i had it 114-113 Marquez.
