Is Jean Marc Mormeck retired ?
The last time I heard anything about him was 6 months ago when he said he would like a rematch with Haye and would even go upto heavyweight for it.
But I haven't read anything since nor he hasn't had 1 fight since the Haye defeat in 2007. Am I missing something ?

This article in French was the last I heard from him RTL SPORT : - Boxe : le come-back de Jean-Marc Mormeck... chez les lourds ! - boxe
It basically says that he is now a Heavyweight and is looking to fight early in the summer and then again at the end of the year. The only opponent in the future he mentions is a rematch with Haye who he thinks 'will become Heavyweight champion'. Also says he has had an operation on his hand and shoulder.
Re: Is Jean Marc Mormeck retired ?
Mormeck is pretty much done as a fighter. And he knows it. The Bell fights took what he had left. Mormeck has been wanting to retire for awhile. Or at least take a break. He only fought Haye cuz he was the champion and there was pressure from him to defend his titles. Which he really shouldn't of had. Bell deserved the win in the rematch

I think the same can be said of Bell, he hasn't been the same since! How about a rubber match at heavy? They're both finished imo atleast this way one will get to take another step forward

He couldn't handle a weight-drained Haye.
What hope does he have against a well conditioned one ;)
