Well finally coach allows some young studs on the team! Sure you can expect: Dempsey, Donovan, Onyewu, Bocanegra, Howard and maybe Brian Ching to start but our recent call ups include: Freddy Adu, Marvel Wynne, Jonathan Spector, Benny Feilhaber, and Charlie Davies. There is no word if Jozy Altidore is going to play or not.
I hope things go well for us...I'm going to try and stay up and watch this match as I am sure to have more than a few beers before 10 ;D
Well due to flooding here I was unable to watch the match but hell we lost 3-1. We haven't played well at Ticos....my only hope is that we got our young guys some experience in hostel crowds.
The US now HAS to win their next couple matches...but those are in the US so hopefully we can get it done.
I would still LOVE to see this line up:
ST: Altidore, Dempsey (Johnson on the bench)

LW: Adu RW: Bradley (Kljestian, Edu on the bench)

There's still hope for us we have never won in Costa Rica. The intrest over here is better when we win of course...if we were more consistent or just focused more on attack rather than being a defense minded team then it would be easier to win over fans...we have the talent to win, the chemistry needs to come along though.
Freddy Adu was going to be a huge superstar, aint heard nothing about him for a couple of years since his failed trial at United.

Come 14/15 the lad should be progressing and by 17/18 you should have a fair view of how good he could actually be. Adu was just hyped up by far too many too early in his life.

Freddy Adu just needs to get playing time...he's very talented but he can't help anyone unless he gets more playing time
You kind of have to build a system around Adu and I don't know that he's that good to deserve that. They won't play him as the attacking center mid in a 4-4-2 because they feel he's a defensive liability so its basically playing him as an attacking mid in a 4-5-1 which I don't really like because I don't like Altidore or Ching as a lone forward.
I think Adu on the left wing is perfect....the US seem to be going more for speed and I like that a lot.
I would also like to see Kenny Cooper get some action, he's 6'3 and could be great for our set pieces
I don't know why they took out Torres at halftime, at least he didn't seem to be trying to give the ball away.
