What do you make out of this? Bob Arum: 50/50 Split, Pac vs PBF is on!

If true, the ball is in Floyd's court now, but what is up with that, considering Pretty Boy Floyd's reported injury?
So then, how much credibilty is given to PBF's rib injury? So how much credibilty is given to PBF then?
Arum, I believe is having a cake and eating it all by himself at the expense of PBF's vast ego on a deflate mode as of late.
Salt on a wound... mean and personal on Bob Arum's part, but brilliant, for this will bring all hands on the deck, hopefully. More power to PBF, if and when he disproves Arum. I hope he proves Arum wrong! The nerve of that promoter guy!

They're just negotiating in the press before they eventually sit down. It's too big a fight not to happen and eventually they'll agree to 50 50 and do it early next year after Manny beats Cotto and Floyd beats Marquez. And Floyd will win.

PBF - Pac has to happen at some point. It is the marquee fight in boxing atm.

I wouldn't even that, I'd call it journalist supposition with pieced together quotes from interview chat. Arum couldn't make a 50/50 deal if he wanted to, Pacquiao would never accept it at this stage. Who in their "right" mind calls $15 million "chump change"?

Neither guy is going to accept the short end of the purse and neither guy can make remotely as much money without fighting the other, so they'll eventually agree on 50 50. It is Written.

Floyd by Unanimous decision. Then another rematch.

Doesn't that presuppose Mayweather / Marquez turns out mega PPV numbers?
Even Mayweather would have to concede he is a not as big a draw as he thought if the PPV numbers fail to be a blockbuster.

Yeah, indeed it is the marquee fight, Pac vs PBF!
Re: What do you make out of this? Bob Arum: 50/50 Split, Pac vs PBF is on!
Timing is everything, and Floyd has been buying time for a couple years now. He retired, and now his comeback is postponed. Floyd wants Pac to fight someone first before fighting him, because he knows that Cotto or Mosley will beat him, and stylistically he has a better chance against those two guys. Floyd is all about fighting good style matchups for him, to make himself look better. But, he may end up fighting Pac, just under terms that suit him best.

It cracks me up how everyone talks about how crappy floyd is yet it's supposed to be this big feat to beat him. Floyd doesn't fight people his size, he runs, cheats, blah, blah so beating him doesn't prove crap. The whole boxing world has this huge hard on for the guy, this division is so deep with good fighters yet they all want to fight the same(what they call) crappy guy who isn't even champ. Paul williams is basically calling out eveyone and no one answers why ??? Cause that fight is too tough for the amount of money, or the challenge too big ?? The same answers people use on floyd they don't want to use for thier own fighter. Some guys catch shit for it...but they all fight the easiest fight for the money.

I've seen plenty of people criticizing Floyd's opposition, but I've never seen anyone claim he wasn't a great fighter in terms of skills.
Re: What do you make out of this? Bob Arum: 50/50 Split, Pac vs PBF is on!
Floyd does not have the balls these days to fight a guy at the top of his game.
Re: What do you make out of this? Bob Arum: 50/50 Split, Pac vs PBF is on!
ok at the risk of upsetting some mayweather fans..............to some degree it was who mayweather was fighting that brought in the money not prety boy himself..........de la hoya is the biggest ppv fighter of the last 10 years and HE wanted the fight so got it made not mayweather.....also ricky hatton his hugely pop so again that played a big part in the buys...its not PBF, infact not many people even find mayweathers fights watchable, hes borring

So now Hatton was shot when he fought him, right? :beat:
Re: What do you make out of this? Bob Arum: 50/50 Split, Pac vs PBF is on!
hatton wasn't shot..........but he's a limited fighter who was smaller, slower, very easy to hit............mayweather was huge favorite to win that fight and he did very easy
