If Roy had stayed around that weight he would've been more comfortable. Add that with Tyson not being so stable upstairs, I think Roy would've had a better chance that some people would give him.
IMO it would be like any other Tyson fight against a big name. He can be outboxed but if he catches them, it would be all over.
I agree that it might have been a different proposition if Jones had never gone down to fight Tarver,
but the Tyson fight (apparently) was to occur after the first Tarver fight, so Jones would have already dropped the weight and then regained it prior to the Tyson fight.
Jones reflexes were deteriorating at that point and I think Tyson would've been able to catch him with something that would have stopped the fight.
