Just watched 1st Mike Mccallum fight

Saw him fight Steve Colins. I was always under the impression he was a technically solid pure boxer. However for a world orthodox fighter he seems to do some unusual things like really loop the right hand, focus on right hooks to the body rather than left hooks and have a uppercut that goes so high it could take the lights out. However obvious great body work and a nice snapping jab (reminds me of Hearns's a bit). I know Steve Colins had only had 16 fights, but was this still a good win for the body snatcher or was he too green to look deeply into it?

I want to watch this fight again. According to McCallum, this was the toughest fight in his career! Collins was trying to outbox McCallum up until the mid rounds but wasn't making much progress. But Goody lit a fire under his ass and he had hell's fury in him when he took it to "The Body Snatcher". ;D;D;D It was a good fight, Steve Collins was no push-over and Mike McCallum proved himself that night. 8)

Mike only said that Collins was his hardest fight to be nice to him. It was easy and Steve would never have been able to beat him at any time.

The worst things is that McCall um never was a one punch KO artist but that was a peach of a punch.
