A good price for Boxing DVD's???
Iv'e decided to update my DVD collection and found a website through one of my old Boxing Monthly Mags.
This guy is selling the Following collections that i want:
MANNY PACQUIAO - 29 FIGHTS £14.50
SUGAR SHANE MOSLEY - 36 FIGHTS £18
FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR - 38 FIGHTS £19
JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ - 43 FIGHTS £21.50
I asked for a good deal and he's basically said £40.50 (BOGOF, Cheapest Free) for the lot.
I assuming there's quite a few peep's here who buy career sets and all that so im wondering, what's your opinion on that price?
Cheers peep's!

I wouldn't know Jim. My best bet would be to upgrade my high speed during the Holiday season, and download as much fights and career sets off Bittorrent and megaupload as I can.
Anything that you can't get that way, try to request, or at least you'll know what to ask for when X-mas comes along. ;)
Re: A good price for Boxing DVD's???
If the quality is good that's an ok price, lot's of Pac fights missing but I suppose some were not even filmed. Do they include all the pre-fight introductions and interviews after?

Personally, I think it's a good deal. Esp. if you don't like messing about with downloads etc.

Re: A good price for Boxing DVD's???
You have to be careful with career sets. I bought a few off eBay and most of them were crap.
It's not necessarily that they miss fights or have a few that are poor quality, that's unavoidable I guess especially the early part of a fighters career.
But none of the sets I ordered had the fights in any semblance of order.
So for example I have Nigel Benn fighting Eubank in one fight then having his 3rd pro fight next.
I got the same for Mike Tyson.
Also hardly anyone goes to the trouble of making a nice cover, casing them properly and printing out a complete fight record for reference.
So overall I agree the best thing to do is to make your own.
If you do go ahead and purchase at least make sure the career sets are well organised with fights in chronological order because if not it can be soooooooooo annoying.
Re: A good price for Boxing DVD's???
on the other hand it can clearly show you how they've improved or declined - depending on which bout you're watching:cool:

;D It's always a bonus, when it's not there you will certainly wish it was.
