Re: Digestion- Any advice?
You could try eating that type of meal earlier and keep a snack handy if you feel too hungry. Or even split it in to two smaller meals 2/3 hours apart. That way you're not eating any extra kcals.
Everyone's a little different. I can have eaten a meal 6hours before training and felt sick and two hours before and felt fine.:-\
Saturday mornings used to be beans/mushrooms on wholewheat toast 2 hours prior to training and that worked just fine.
Re: Digestion- Any advice?
People eat pies with tomato sauce all the time out here in Oz and half suffer indigestion and its always the sauce.
Re: Digestion- Any advice?
Best to just go by trial and error, everyone has little food sensitivities, most people don't realize it. Try eating a little longer before you train, maybe a bit smaller portions if you feel to have overeaten. Also, make sure you are well hydrated before you eat, at every meal. Washing food down with water dillutes your stomach acids hence food isn't digested as well. Also try adding some green veggies to every meal, especially in the place of other carbs which will spike your insulin. Nobody want's to do it, but if you start replacing grains and refined carbs with raw vegetables saving for post workout it makes a big difference. If it's an ongoing thing, look into getting some good digestive enzymes or probiotics.

This works, have a glass of water with the juice of 1 lime...that will break stuff down and really clean you out. You may even cut more weight that way, if you're trying to. It won't make you have explosive diarrhea or anything, but you will have to use the can pretty soon afterward
