Excellent news, Sauerland are making an active effort to get involved in the scene in the US & I reckon Kessler gets a big fight soon
He certainly need to get a big fight soon, the 168 division was his for the taking after Calzaghe retired. Kess has slipped back into obscurity, I'm sure it's because of Palle, but regardless it has happened.Quote:

Well this is one big hurdle that has been overcome for that SMW tournament. Hopefully everything else falls into place!
This is good news for him, its about damn time. I'm lookin forward to seein him back in action, although he did get schooled by Calzaghe after the halfway mark of their fight so I still don't see him being all that.
Isn't Kessler matched up with Dirrell in his first bout in the tournament? That should be interesting.

People say he got schooled by cal after the halfway mark in their fight, be that as it may calzaghe was special. Kessler on form I think takes anyone in the 168 division. Not that andrade is a great fighter or anything, but he's good right there close to the top of 168 and kessler completely dominated him over 12 rounds. Hopefully he gets right in the mix...
