Went online for first time - need to practice throwing combos faster !

Having played it vs cpu in 1 player mode I thought I would be ok online but I was wrong !


Fought Menouk (Fantana) who could reel off 3 punches to my one and I had no chance. Then fought another sit back tactician guy who I knocked out in 9


Then again I took a guy on this morning who had Ali - christ he was peppering me, though I did take him the distance.

I think countering may be the key.

How does everyone else fight ? Tactically or go in swinging ?!?

I go in right in an mix it up waiting for a shot to my head then i bob an weave an counter then throw a few more an bob an weave an counter.

Im actually finding this game harder than i thought possible :-\

I mean i like the challenge but Jeez, ive never been Knocked out so much by the computer!! :o

I'm ok with the computer and in tactical battles

its the guys who throw punch after punch and the speed that get me !

I know if a guys coming at me with punches in bunches i'm gonna shove em off me for space, if im not ready for em.
But if and when i am ready, im usually looking to side step and counter big.

It works quite well. (As long as there's no lag, as timing is everything!)

What difficulty level do you play on? Im trying G.O.A.T at the mo but its so real its unreal! :p

I got the achievement for beating Ali an Tyson w/ a created boxer on G.O.A.T.
But mostly i play other people in unranked and ranked matches.
My record is like 22 or 23 wins with 5 losses in ranked matches.

If you need to throw faster combo's, then wait until September then use the button configuration. *Smiles and dodges thrown objects*

Practice makes perfect, you'll get there. Might want to choose fighters with some good speed too, that helps.

As for how I fight, I go in with a plan, I go in tactically and go in swinging. I do both. However, I am not a spammer. Yes, I like smothering my opponent with punches, but I don't throw them non-stop. I punch, do combo's, block and mix it up and all that stuff. If I need to back off, I will.

Think of me as someone who can punch you like Ali can, peppering you with a flurry of fast shots before pausing. Think of me as someone who has the punching power of Mike Tyson, working you on the inside before delivering that one punch KO.

Seem to be getting better - lost to Fantana (Meunouk last night) in last round after having him down twice during the fight. Was all about who landed in final round.
