Actual video of when Michael Jacksons hair caught on fire
Well, we should have figured that this was going to come out eventually.
You see it plain as day going up in flames, and what it looked like after they put it out.

That's pretty amazing footage, actually. I've seen some recently of it but not as clear and complete as that.
Dude was lit up for quite a while, still busting moves. I tried so hard not to laugh. I really did.

He didn't seem to realise anything was happening up top for ages. He was still doing his moves when they all piled onto him!
He must have already been addicted to painkillers because he didn't seem to have any discomfort whilst his hair was on fire.
In all seriousness, that must have hurt like hell. He had a massive bald patch on his head after that. Nasty accident.

Not at that time, because they are saying that this is what got him started on painkillers.
And not only did he have a big bald patch, did you see that lump in front of that bald patch where it was all melted together. :o

That was my painful attempt at humour. :-\;D
I wonder if Jacksons hair really did grow back naturally after getting burns like that on his scalp. There were rumours that he was somewhat bald after he died, I wonder if that was true.
Re: Actual video of when Michael Jacksons hair caught on fire
Well I guess that humor went right over my head. ;) ;D
I haven't heard anything about him being somewhat bald when he died.
Not sure if hair would grow back after that. :scratchchin:
Let me go Google.
Re: Actual video of when Michael Jacksons hair caught on fire
Well, I found someone that asked the question because they had gotten burned on their head, and here was the doctors response.
You burned your scalp 2 months ago and as of yet you have not grown any hair there. You have a blister on the burned area, which means you had a 2nd degree burn there. As a general rule, a 1st degree burn is superficial and does not involve hair follicles, so they usually don’t cause permanent hair loss. 3rd degree burns are deeper and usually damage the entire hair follicle and cause hair loss, and they may also damage nerve endings and cause numbness in the area.
In your case, with a 2nd degree burn they are in between and may or may not damage hair follicles permanently. You have to wait for about 6 months and by then if you are not growing hair in the bald spots you may want to consider hair transplantation. At that time you could be evaluated to see what could be done for you if the need is there. For now though, my suggestion would be to just wait it out.
Re: Actual video of when Michael Jacksons hair caught on fire
I had always thought that perhaps his hair was the only natural thing he had left, but looking at that footage it does make you wonder. I would imagine he probably did need to surgically fix his hair after that.

I was in a club in London a couple of weeks ago and I noticed a load of people looking at me with horrified expressions - turned out that my mate had set my hair on fire (the prick!) and he's a fucking fireman !!!
