Re: The most legendary gigs of all time
The Rolling Stones at Altamount Speedway deserves a mention, probably for all the wrong reasons.
Also Ten Years After at Woodstock. I'm Goin Home!!!
Bob Dylan getting booed off the stage at 1965 Newport Folk Festival for playing an electric guitar.
Re: The most legendary gigs of all time
According to who? I'm assuming some UK music mag judging by the selections. And Muse? Fucking Muse!?!
Re: The most legendary gigs of all time
Muse are a strange choice for a most legendary gig of all time spot. I quite like them as a band, but they are not on the level of The Pistols or the Bowie's of this world. The Pistols gigs were something quite new for the time with the energy and accompanying attention and violence and Bowie dramatically declared that he was retiring. Legendary gigs need a certain notoriety IMO and should come with baggage, myth and speculation. I say the same about Oasis too. It was a huge concert, but that's pretty much all it was.
