I read the story on Football icon John Hartson today with shock:o.I did'nt realize he's in a really bad way.He's only 34.He has been diagnosed with cancer from sunday,its reached into his lungs as well as his brain.He has 3 kids.I really hope he pulls through.

Yeh, I've always liked him, a proper man's man of a footballer. Doesn't look good for him tho :(
Lance Armstrong got though a similar diagnosis, so there is hope. Hartson is my age, and has a young family, it is very sad.....
I guess this shows, men really do have to respect their health, and if they have a problem, no matter how embarrassing, they should get it investigated.
Anyway good luck to the bloke; he was a whole hearted player, who always seemed to give his best, which I suspect, will help no end, in this fight.

I met Hartson a long while ago when the welsh team stoped off in my village one sunday for a few pints.
He was very drunk but singed every thing put in front of him.

Lol, there seem to be a fair few stories about people meeting Hartson in pubs. I hope he recovers for both him & his family, there's more hope to it these days, & he's actually become one of the better writers of all the ex-footballers

Shocking news. Loved the way he kicked his team mate in the head when he was down.
the most vicious part is the brain cancer... very tricky to cure, all my thoughts with him and hopefully he'll get through.
I read in todays paper that Hartson is now out of hospital and recovering at home.He still needs treatment but at least he is on the road to recovery.His wife is expecting their 4th child soon!
