Yesterday, the undefeated and highly regarded Antillon got his first loss and was KO'ed by Miguel Acosta at Grand Mayan, Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit, Mexico.
Acosta with a record of 26 - 3 - 20 KO, floored Antillon with a devastating right uppercut in the 9th round of their WBA Interim Lightweight Championship. Antillon beats the 10 counts but was waived by referee Mora unfit to continue.
This is Antillons' first loss

Antillon has no idea what the word adjustment means.
He thought he could overrun the guy by simply barging his way in and bully a thin looking Acosta. The fight was dead even until he cought a flash right upper cut.
He is open most of the time and the uppercut is simply waiting to floor him down

That's a shame, I'm not THAT shocked though.
He was asking lately for a legit title shot instead of the so called Interim belt.
I also thought he could clean up the Lightweight Division and can stand toe-to-toe agains the Diaz's.
But he is not finished, just a lesson learned.
No doubt...was shouting the same when Acosta was walking him onto uppercuts.Needs to sharpen up that side to side and cut off movement.....and learn to duck once in a while:-XQuote:

Man I never get to see Antillon. That's only like the third time. I don't know if there's anything special about him, but he won't be easy for most guys but how he'll do against the top level guys in the division, I don't know.
