Reading the Metro paper today....
There was an interview with Frankie Detorri the Jockey, and one of the questions was what was the best bet you ever made, and he answered he had £2 on Holyfield to beat Tyson at 150/1???
Im pretty sure there was no chance Holyfield was that sort of price in a 2 horse race?? Surely?
I can remember the fight and i was at my dads mates house with my dad couple of me dads mates and my dads mates son, and out of the five of us, 3 thought Tyson would win and the other two Holyfield.
Can anyone remember the odds??

can't remember the odds but even if he predicted the round I don't think
he'd have got near that price... only thing I can think of is he'd know alot of bookies and might have got that price off an owner who gave Evander no hope

I thought that I know Tyson was fav but fuck me 150/1?? Detorri has always come across as quite false to me and a bit of a billy bullshiter, from a guy who says gambling is better than sex and also a guy who is minted to have a measly £2 on a 150/1 shot in a two horse race??? Dont make sense.

yeah I think he's telling porky's here alright ;D
Re: Reading the Metro paper today....
can't see odds like that - but can't see him bullshitting either (unless mistaken)
however I did win at odds of 66/1 for Holyfield to win in round 3 for the rematch ;D
Re: Reading the Metro paper today....
Pretty sure Holyfield was 1-22 to win the fight
Re: Reading the Metro paper today....
I know Donald Trump won a million dollars or put on a million dollars on Holyfield, but that must be loose change for him.
Re: Reading the Metro paper today....
He's not allowed any connection with the bookies, so even if true is not talking about ladbrokes and the like.
But obviously he'll know millions of serious gamblers, and millions of richy riches so, like Phil said, it wouldn't be out of the question for him to have been given those over the top odds.
Re: Reading the Metro paper today....
i got 10/1 for holyfield to win so he of must of picked the round as well
