Okay, I boxed when I was a lot younger and recently have the urge to boxing again. I'm in good shape and my technique is still good, but I am probably rusty with sparring. Due you guys think I'm too old to start boxing again to have some amateur matches. I have this feeling that it would be strange having a match with a young kid. What do you guys think. Thanks in advance.
Go ahead, your coach will make sure to match you up with someone at your level.
I didn't start until I was past 30. I had similar reservations. My first fight was with a guy who wasn't old enough to drink. But I won.;D
If it's your first fight, you are usually matched up against another guy who doesn't have any fights either. That the importance of a good coach. I wanted to fight 2 months prior and I thought I had an opponent who was like 2(Wins)-4(Losses) and only 5 years younger. My coach said no way.
