Just made myself two cups of tea

So I go into the kitchen, make myself a nice brew of Twinings English Breakfast tea and then go back and sit myself down in front of my pc.

There I notice another boiling hot, just been made, cup of tea already placed by my keyboard.


Now I don't have any memory of making this cup at all, but I live alone so I must have.

It too was scolding hot and so had just been made, so I must have got up, made myself a cup of tea, sat down and then immediately got up to make myself a cup of tea oblivious to the fact I just made one :confused:

Am I losing it?

To answer your question, you are clearly going (more) insane.

Hot tea is for Yankees and foreigners....here in the South we do things right, we take our time, we are nice and polite and we always drink iced tea ;)

When I was a teenager, I worked at a tourist trap and people from the South (and America in general really) were always aghast when we told them that we sweetened our iced tea here.

.....once I'm outside of North Carolina I don't order tea as it's either no good or not sweet. The key is to sweeten the tea while it's hot OR have simple syrup on hand which is quality stuff!

It's like when you reach for the last bit of chocolate biscuit and see it's gone but you were sure you had another bite left,Ghost ,mice, someone else or you're senile. In your case Bilbo you can rule out someone else....so you have a ghost mouse that can make a cuppa OR...........

I have done things like this...


Quite often I will wash my hair and realize halfway through that I'd washed once already. Happens when I stay in the shower a long time.

Have not touched hot tea in about ten years or so.Used to drink different types,Japanese Orange ,flat out green tea etc. Then I moved down south and have not touched it since,now its strictly iced tea,Iced coffee,and the beers have to be borderline frozen.....blame the humidity?

Although I am from Texas I dont drink iced tea very often if at all. I do occasionally have hot tea but usually when I am sick or have a sore throat. I am a big fan of Liptons Green Tea varieties though. Realized I cant drink them on road trips because they make me have to piss all the time. Speaking on the famed sweat teas of the south though I cant stand them. I once ordered a "tea" with lunch in Georgia and almost spit it all over the table because it was unbearably sweet.

One time when I was really drunk I looked down and realized I'd lit three cigarettes. Not sure its the same thing.
