HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
By the time Nate Campbell is done having his hearing with the California commission on Aug. 24, his TKO loss to Timothy Bradley will likely have been turned into a no-contest, and you’ll hear a lot of talk about how justice was done. After all, replays clearly showed that the cut above Campbell’s left eye was caused by an accidental clash of heads. Referee David Mendoza got the call wrong, a mistake that instant replay can correct...
;;;;yahoo sports..
Ouuuchhh!
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
I think it should be ruled a NC. They overturned Rahman's loss to Toney on the same grounds.
I feel sorry for Bradley though, he was dominating the fight and Campbell was clearly using it as a way out screaming that he couldn't see etc.
But it was a headbutt, and as such a N/C is fair as it was stopped inside 4 rounds.
I expect Miles is simmering with rage over the whole episode of course.

Nate wasn't going to win that fight in the long run if they rule it a NC then I hope he has comes back with a game plan, that is if Timothy will be willing to Rematch...gosh team Bradley is def raging!

The only dominating I saw from Bradley was after the cut. Bradley was even on the back foot for parts of the first two rounds. The commentator even says that its unusual to see Bradley on the back foot. I want to see a rematch for sure, but I bet you Bradley ain't so keen on it despite his on air words....
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
Nate Obviously thinks this is a shrewd move.
I just hope he doesn't embarrass himself in the rematch.

The guy deserves a break more than most as well. He got screwed for hundreds of thousands of dollars by Juan Guzman and it would have been a shame for him had he had a TKO loss on his record for a cut caused by an accidental headbutt.
I think Bradley will beat him easily next time around, if they do go again, but I'd love to see Nate pull of an upset.
Bradley is very much a fighter on the up though and I really disagree with themagican, Campbell looked all of his 37 years in there.

Bilbo, your opinion is much more respected than mine I know that for sure, I just think that Bradley hits a whole lot of glove man, just like Kahn, and I felt he was only landing good shots after Nate was cut. I'm just not convinced by Bradley atall in any way shape or form. If Holt was a busier fighter, he could have had Bradley out of there and beating Witter is nothin. Like JIMBOOGIE, i just hope if he gets a rematch, he doesn't throw away a second chance.
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
I think the cut accelerated the pattern of the fight.

I think your right, just my heart was wanting a better show from Campbell, and I don't like Bradley, he's not a good enough champion to be at the top, can't wait for someone to beat him. I wish Hatton was back in his prime as he would wipe the floor with Bradley IMO.
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
Bradley looks like the better fighter overall but the fight is for 12 rounds we don't know Campbell might land a single shot that stops Bradley:-\ I wouldnt say Campbell's loss is inevitable, boxing is unpredictable everybody gets the benefit of the doubt.
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
Campbell said it, right. He was losing the fight with Juan Diaz at that point. I do not think that Bradley can crack an egg. He and Mallinaggi should fight and see who can fluff the other up more. Nate doesn’t mind letting Bradley work that hard to win 2 or 3 rounds. There is just not enough evidence to say that Nate was going to lose that fight. Period.
These old guys are smarter than you can give them credit for in 2.5 rounds. Watch the Diaz Marquez fight again. Nacho Beristian tells Marquez to give away the early rounds. Bradley was working incredibly hard at a tremendous pace with little landing (up until the cut… and even then). I do not see Bradley being able to keep that wild pace for too long before he gets caught. I think Nate comes on late and lets him taste at least some canvas.
My suggestion? Nate: move on and fight a guy that doesn’t lead with his head, since his gloves are obviously too soft for him to do any damage. Nate-Khan, anyone? Nate-Hatton?
Don't get the wrong idea I really like Bradley, I just like Nate even more.

You explained things much much better than me pal. Spot on, thats the way i felt. Bradley was hittin glove and there is every possible chance that he would have ran out of steam a bit later on. Nate isn't a stupid man atall.
You know, one of my favourite parts of any fight i've watched in the last few years is Campbell - Diaz, about round 6 interval, as the bell goes Campbell has been firing back and he shouts to Diaz clearly, " All night.... All night man". I just think without a cut, Nate Campbell in no way lets Bradley just walk all over him for 12 without firin back with plenty of his own shots along the way. Lets atleast see Campbell have the chance to show he's Warrior.....

Haha :D
I wouldn't put Bradley in the 'Mallinaggi' category though. Nowhere near..
Bradley's power gets respect. Just ask Junior Witter.
And it's not like Bradley is the type of Guy to just stand infront of Nate and let rip (unless the opportunity would present itself, like say after Nate being cut.) To me, Bradley has the look of a well schooled fighter.
You forget, Nate was missing some clumsy shots and wasn't looking anywhere near as sharp as Bradley.
Re: HEAD BUTT! Bradley vs Nate a no contest...!!
They over turned Toney Rahman 2 aswel. The biggest travesty was Barrera- Khan and they didnt over turn that one.

A little acknowledgment of a fighter making adjustments and showing some alternate gears?Bradley was showing a nice jab and straight punches knowing that Campbell is an extremely cagey inside fighter.Bradley is not oozing charisma by any means but when he saw a spot,he stepped it up and really put it on Nate.I don't think Bradley would go sheepish as far as rematch...now that tub of goo Gary shaw ??
Ive always respected Nate but do think he rolled the dice knowing full well the inner workings of the rules and the whole inside of 4 round rule when dealing with cuts.....The ref clearly blew the call but also indicated the cut was caused by a punch, twice when it happened in the judges direction....Nate said nothing about not seeing when the ref checked the cut at rounds end, only after he looked at it on the arena jumbo tron screen......crazy thing is that the Dr. dismissed the physical cut when talking stoppage with Nate."I'm not talking about the cut"...Nate said he could not see so fight over.Odd one really.
