Murray vs Thaxton is finally made. Can't wait for this fight. I'm gonna be there if anyone fancies a Saddo beer before hand......
Heres the article, fight is gonna be at Altrincham Leisure Centre on OCT 3rd.

What does everyone think about this one??
I'm goin with John Murray. This year and early next year i see Murray really pickin up the pace, Beatin Thaxton by late rounds KO maybe 10 - 11 and then movin on to flatten Mezaache too.......
Thaxton's had a bad couple of recent fights, so Murray will be going in as the heavy favourite against the fading former champ.
So naturally I reckon Jonno might be able to drag one last big performance out of himself, and really give Murray his first major test, and push him all the way to the wire. As for the decision, a round or two either way, probably Murray.
Thaxton can win the Lonsdale outright too so he'll be gunnin for that for sure. As long as Murray can get past the first 5 -6 rounds i see Thaxton fading like he did against Mezaache and just gettin beat up. This is definately a great final test for Murray, i'm a big fan and I hope he does it. Should be a great domestic dust up though. Thaxton moves but he'll brawl with Murray when he starts to fade I think.Quote:

i think its going to be a really good fight but it has come at the right time for murray and just a bit too late for thaxton
I would gather that the tickets will be about 30-40 for general seat, but the Alti Leisure centre aint that huge so you should get a fairly good view for that...... I'm defo goin so i'll let you know pal.....Quote:

Think that is Thaxtons only shot in this one to be fair, no way does he outwork Murray over 12 rounds. On the other hand, you are right Paddy, Thaxton doesn't have a long list of KO's maybe 6, and against pretty naff opposition to be fair aswell so it'll have to be a lucky lucky bomb to stop Murray....Quote:

But thaxton is clearly a shot fighter and murray has withheld my previous doubts about him.
Thaxtons only chance is to take murray to the trenches and he`ll just love that. 7th round stoppage if you ask me
Murray tko 3. Thaxton is finished.
a couple of fights back this would have looked a better match up than it does right now. Thaxton would have looked strong but sliding, Murray would have been green but young enough.
I expect an unintelligent fight with both of them trying to club each other, actually I'll rephrase that I think Thaxton will try to box smart but tire and then it'll be a slug fest.
Just booked up my ticket for this one. Can't wait now, headin there with my bro and a couple of pals...... I'm hopin for a serious dust-up.....
