How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
We all know he was not a All Time Great, But he did show Grit, Heart and Power. I think he would have done fairly well in Todays Era. What do you guys think?

He would do well. No one out there has aleft hook like he had and if he could connect first, it would be lights out for most of them except the giants. He would make mince meat out of Arreola and Johnson IMO, but Chambers could be interesting. The Klits are two big, but the rest would be interesting.

I see the Klits giving him huge problems, But if Morrison got on the inside of Wladimir some how. I see Wladimir being scared for his life..But I would pick both to beat the Duke just because the Jab and their size.

I was just gonna say, he lands one good left hook on Wlad's chin and we'd all be laughing.

Yep, I agree!
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
he could probably take Wlad out. not sure about now though Wlad is getting better and doesnt make too many mistakes. Vitali would do bad things to him.
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
I think Morrison could easily handle the majority of the division, but the Klitschko's would hurt him badly. Wlad would make Tommy look silly, I'm sorry but #1 the jab would be impossible for Tommy to solve #2 Tommy's chin wasn't all that great either #3 Wlad can hook too and very impressively. Tommy would be a top five contender pretty easily but there would be interesting fights for him: Chagaev, Brewster, Sultan, Arreola, Chambers, and dare I say David Haye
I also wonder how these guys would do today (if they were in their primes of course):
Frank Bruno
Michael Moorer
Donovan Ruddock
Shannon Briggs
And I wonder how Joe Mesi would have done had he not gotten injured
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
He would beat the hell out of David(The Big Mouth)Haye;)
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
Just a Note, Im not the one that Voted him to be Unified Champ. *Gasp* Even I think that is Retarded.
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
Tommy for sure would be one of the champs....I don't see him beating either of the Brothers Grimm but pretty much beats the rest of em....
I am going with a top shape Morrison here though....Not the version that allowed himself to be beat by guys like Bentt

Its sad really... If Donovan was about toady he'd be Brilliant.
You got me thinking though... And i know it sounds nerdy... But back in the 90's, who would of won in a fight between Moorer and Ruddock ???
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
I see Morrison as a top 5 contender but I think both Klits would beat him. He just wasn't all that dedicated, obviously. I think he just got caught up with too much partying and womanizing.
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
Dosen't Morrison still fight today sometimes? And Mesi as well?
Re: How Would Tommy Morrison do Today in the Current Heavyweight Division
A prime Tommy Morrison would do very well, but the problem is he would struggle against a fighter the size of Wladimir Klitschko. Remember Carl Williams who is 6'5 managed to drop Tommy Morrison a few times, and Lennox Lewis dominated Tommy Morrison. Also what those 2 fighters had in common, was that they both had very good jabs like Wladimir Klitschko.
And people say well if he would of got on the inside, but remember Tommy Morrison's chin isn't much better than Wladimir Klitschkos. So would he be able to get inside quick enough ?
Except for the obvious bad style match ups against, the Klitschko brothers. I would make him favorite against all the other Heavyweight's. Remember Tommy Morrison wasn't just a come forward banger, he had some boxing skills remember he gave George Foreman a boxing lesson, while constantly moving backwards.

I'd go with that, Haye-Morrison would be interesting and so would any of the 'top' heavies bar the brothers. Too big for him.
