Fighters that were shot in their 20s

I just got done watching the HBO documentary on Chavez-Taylor, where many people said it was downhill for Taylor after that fight (yes he did win WW titles but was in serious decline) and I remember him being shot later on in his late 20s.

Erik Morales was shot after the 1st Pacquiao fight at 28 years old as evidenced by the Raheem fight. Wilfred Benitez is another name that comes to mind who was shot in his mid to late 20s.

So what other fighters that were shot in their 20s?

Riddick Bowe

Donald Curry (though he gave McCallum and Norris a good fight after moving up)

Fernando Vargas is the most obvious one to me, although maybe not an elite fighter quite like those mentioned. Jeff Lacy is an even lower-level example.

Those are the only two off the top of my head right now.

I guess you might say Cristian Mijares. He'll never likely regain his old form.

Floyd Mayweather Sr.

Left leg.

Davey Moore lost his prime in the Duran fight.

Vargas and Bowe were also good examples.
Diego Corrales was in serious decline or shot in his late 20s imo.

Disagree on Corrales, he lost fights to Castillo & Clottey having been heavily outweighed, with Castillo making no effort to make the weight in their 2nd fight & Clottey coming in something like 20lbs heavier. His loss to Casamayor was IMO a close fight. He wasn't what he was, but due to his untimely death we'll never know. Many thought Holyfield was finished after his 3rd fight with Bowe.

Just because he lost had 1 fight then never fought again don't mean he was shot just didn't want to fight on but he had made about £50m

Ya, there's a big difference between being past your peak and being shot. Hamed and Tito were not shot after their first losses.

Alright just testing the waters. With that being said then the obvious 1 to me was Angel Manfredy.
