question re: fight night round 4
I know there is a whole section for this, but I only have a quick question and I feel i'm tipping over one side of the geeky scale going into that section (no offense meant to anyone that does.. It's awesome we have that section)
Okay, when you have to do training for fights, can anyone get really good rankings for any of them?
I hired the game for a week, and could do okay with free sparring. I would get either the second highest or highest ranking..
But with the one where you have to throw combo's, I would always go to do an uppercut and if the analog stick was just a little bit out, it would throw a hook and f'k up the combo and you do a few of those and you get a rubbish score.. even when I tried to do it slow and precise I still got low score..
Also the other one I realllllly struggled with was slipping the maize ball... I got a little bit better at it and got like, 2 slips in per the ball swinging one way, then 2 the other, but still never got that good grade on it...
Anyway, I LOVE this game... I hired for a week as I said and barely scraped the surface of how much fun and longevity I think I could get out of it... It takes everything that round 3, and for that matter round 2 did, and just does it much better... They are realllllly getting close to the ultimate boxing game.. which is awesome because some other sporting games have been worked on for ages and still don't come close to the experience of the real thing.. Soccer and basketball are two I can think of... Never really been impressed with games that replicate those sports... one basketball game came close "Ballers" that was enormous fun...
But boxing is the sporting king and Fight Night round 4 is the best experience of it yet (without actually pulling gloves on yourself)
Re: question re: fight night round 4
It sounds fantastic. I start to drool whever I hear about this game. :D
I want to play it now, but I must wait until my dissertation is done. I cannot wait to get online and fight other people and I heard Joe Calzaghe is in it too which is the icing on the cake for me. It sounds like it has a lot more depth than the previous games which is good because I like to work through the career mode.

Yeah the career mode is awesome.. In the week I had it I barely got started in my career but it was engrossing the whole time.... Then the way the game is structured, it really makes you feel like you want to keep working through it... And I picked Welterweight because that's my favorite division, but I was always thinking, I can't wait to play right through and retire this boxer so that I can get a heavyweight going as well...
It just feels like there is so much to the game to do and you really want to do it...
That's not even mentioning anything about the gameplay which is just great. You really feel like you are doing damage with your hooks and stuff.. The movement of the people has gotten better and more realistic.. And their is great variance in the different styles of the fighters, so the way you fight might kick one guys ass, but then your next opponent has your number with his style, and it's a real challenge.. Then there is the replays that you can record and upload to the net.. In my fight against Hatton, by coincidence, when I knocked him out he span and bounced into the ropes and then off onto the floor.. I got a replay of it and saved it except i'll need to buy the game so I can go in and upload it...
Definitely don't get it while your doing your studies otherwise you'll spend to much time playing it...

Yea i got the game largely because of Calzaghe . But his power rating is awful, which annoys me. Don't want to go into here cos its been done to death. But it irritates me.
Also, i heard that Calzaghe and Enzo Maccerinelli ;D are on that Tyson game, is that right? :p
Re: question re: fight night round 4
Teddy's cominating is frustrating throughout the game:-\their shoulkd have had the choice of which two sets of comintators throughout the game.Just imagine having the option of having Duke McKenzise and John Rawling as cominating,it would sound alot better!
