....anyone remember or ever hear of this old TV show? It's a cult classic, and rumor has it Tim Burton is making it a movie. Dark Shadows was well ahead of it's time, it was on in the mid 60's and was just creepy as hell, they used to show it on Scifi and recently they had a revival series in the 1990's
The theme music was especially creepy

I love Tim and all, but I don't think making this into a movie would be that great.. They did try to consolidate the story into a 12 or so episode set and it was good i thought, but obviously not the same.. to be a 2-3 hour movie, then i don't see it doing the series any justice..
Yeah, I know where you're coming from. I can tell Burton (who is 51) could have been greatly influenced by Dark Shadows, but making a movie out of it AND doing justice to the campy 1960's version will be a hard task even for him.
It was a very creepy show especially given when it was on tv.
I liked the show and it did creep me out.
I cannot remeber many plot points because I was so young and there were seasons upon seasons of the show.
I have seen season boxsets online if you are wanting to make a buy.
I thought lyle was going to ask about or provide info on dark shadows under the eyes.:(
