*College Football Prediction Contest*
Okay I'm copying and pasting from the college football thread
Amat is in so far
Anyone want to do a mini prediction contest? I'm sure there would not be too many involved (off hand I can think of Van, Amat, maybe Lyle, maybe VD) but we can just keep the scores week by week and the winner will get a pat on the back from Lyle.
If anyone wants to do it, I'm gonna go by spreads and just fairly meaningful games. Not sure if there would be a set amount of games each week or not.
Winners get 5 points or something I guess and we can do it like the prediction contest, you can pick a joker for each week to put on the one you feel most sure about and also a star game, just the biggest game of the week, I'll choose I guess, and you get double points on both the joker and star.
Home team in bold, favorites always on left
Arkansas -1 Georgia
BYU -6.5 FSU
Auburn -4.5 West Virginia
Notre Dame -11 Michigan State
Virginia Tech -3.5 Nebraska STAR
Oregon -6.5 Utah
Texas -17.5 Texas Tech
Clemson -6.5 Boston College
Oregon State -3.5 Cincinatti
If anyone wants to do it obviously we can change it up some. Make it more selective, , although granted that would probably work itself out as the season gets deeper and bigger games come up.
Also we could just go heads up, no spreads.
If you don't want to do it obviously you're feedback is irrelevant.
Also if we get some responses in today from the people I suspect might want to play, again the Amats, Vans, etc, then we could add Georgia Tech-Miami to the list since its tonight. I made VT-Nebraska the star game, nothing really stood out this week. I thought about adding Florida -26 Tennessee but didn't. Also obviously people can comment on the list of games especially if I get too SEC obsessed or something.
Re: *College Football Prediction Contest*
I thought about Cal -12 Minnesota and I probably should have added Iowa -6 Arizona, I just didn't want to research Iowa or Arizona.
But as far as the schedule goes input from other people would be good.
Once the season really gets going it probably won't be hard.
I wonder if I should set a number for amount of games each week. cause say somebody is leading going up to the last week, I'm right behind, I schedule about 30 games in an attempt to make a late surge ;D That would be unfair.
Any input overall is welcome. Even Lyle's :-\
Re: *College Football Prediction Contest*
Just a thought, we could add Iowa-Arizona, or even Cal-Minnesota, and that would make it 10 games which would be a natural choice for the amount of games each week if we were going with a set number. Assuming 10 games would be enough for when the season really gets going.
