Jones Jnr v Green confirmed Dec 2nd in Australia
SYDNEY (AP) - Eight-time world champion Roy Jones Jr. will fight Australia's Danny Green in Sydney on Dec. 2 in what will be the American veteran's first professional fight ever on foreign soil.
The IBO world cruiserweight title will be on the line, with 40-year-old Jones trying to add that belt to a career haul that includes titles in divisions ranging from middleweight to heavyweight. His career record is 54 wins, include 40 by knockout, and five losses since 1989.
Green won the IBO cruiserweight title in Biloxi, Mississippi last month with a victory over Argentina's Julio Cesar Dominguez on the undercard to Jones' NABO light heavyweight championship win over Jeff Lacy.
Nathan Rees, premier of New South Wales state, announced details of the Dec. 2 fight on Thursday.
December 2nd is a wednesday?? Is that the norm in the Oz usually?

can only dream of jones jr ever fighting in britain!!
Will be a complete blowout though, jones will make him look very silly
Re: Jones Jnr v Green confirmed Dec 2nd in Australia
Surely he will not become a 5 weight champ with IBO? I'd be quite interested in a fight with Adamek after he deals with Green.
I know I said I wanted him to retire but I would also like him to go on to become a 5 weight champ and if he did he would be 41 by that time and that would perhaps be the greatest achievement in the career of Roy Jones.

I would have loved to see him leave America about 10,15 years ago to fight England's best.
